The Opportunity
The Supervisor, Credit and Collections is responsible for leading the fleet credit and collections across North America. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, credit and collections for all fleet customers; training, coaching and supervision of credit team members; coordination of cross-functional review of accounts with fleet operations team; assisting Finance leadership with developing fleet credit policies and enforcing those; and managing credit holds. The Supervisor, Credit and Collections, will also be responsible for all A/R reporting including but not limited to required reporting to accounting (CECL, Bad Debt Reserve) and management reporting for both Fleet operations and Finance management.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Mentors, trains and reviews Fleet Collections Team Members. Includes assisting Finance leadership with establishing productivity and quality performance measurements, monitoring performance against established goals and coaching employees on process improvements.
- Resolve fleet collection issues that require account escalation and reconciliation (includes training of other team members on how to approach this situation); ensure fleet collections is contacting customers with past due account and initiating appropriate action and maintaining records according to established procedures in a manner that will result in maximum sales, sound receivables and prompt conversion of receivables into cash with minimum past dues.
- Produce A/R related reporting- for both accounting requirements and management information.
- Ensure all documentation is SOX compliant, up-to-date, accurate and easy to understand.
- Assist Finance leadership with creation, maintenance and enforcement of Fleet Credit Policy and Procedures. This includes any necessary updates to improve efficiencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable.
- 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
