The Opportunity

Valvoline is seeking a motivated Fleet Sales Intern to support our Fleet Sales team with lead management and conversion activities. This role focuses on engaging with warm and cold leads, helping move prospects through the early stages of the sales funnel, and supporting overall pipeline development for the fleet business. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in B2B sales, customer engagement, and CRM-based lead management within a fast-paced commercial environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, self-directed, and comfortable engaging with business contacts by phone and email.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Fleet Sales team with managing and organizing inbound and outbound leads
  • Engage with warm and cold leads through email and phone outreach to qualify interest and identify next steps
  • Support lead nurturing efforts by providing timely follow-ups and tracking responses in the CRM
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead records in CRM systems (e.g., Zoho or similar platforms)
  • Help identify potential fleet customers and gather relevant business information to support sales efforts
  • Coordinate with sales team members to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads
  • Assist with reporting and tracking lead conversion metrics and pipeline activity
  •  Provide general administrative and project support to the Fleet Sales team as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting professional email correspondence
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred:

  • Prior experience or coursework in sales, marketing, or business development
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Interest in the automotive, fleet, or B2B commercial industry
