How You’ll Make a Difference
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving the company’s enterprise Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) program across IT.
This role ensures technology recovery capabilities align with business risk tolerance and that the organization is prepared to respond effectively to disruptive events. The role partners with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to establish recovery standards, oversee testing, and provide leadership visibility into recovery readiness
- Design and maintain the enterprise BC/DR strategy aligned to business impact and risk tolerance
- Define recovery tiers, RTO/RPO standards, and DR design principles
- Establish BC/DR policies, standards, and documentation
- Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, SRE, Security, and Application teams
- Lead BC/DR testing and exercises
- Identify recovery gaps and drive remediation plans
- Conduct and support Business Impact Analyses (BIA)
- Serve as primary BC/DR liaison internally and externally
- Validate vendor recovery capabilities
- Provide executive-level readiness and risk reporting
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience leading enterprise BC/DR programs
- Knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, application, and SaaS recovery
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Vendor and third-party management experience
- BC/DR certifications (DRCP, CBCP, ABCP, ISO 22301)- preferred
- Large, distributed IT environments- preferred
- Regulatory or audit-driven recovery experience- preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
