How You'll Make a Difference
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Digital Product Owner. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering the digital product roadmap supporting Valvoline’s fleet operations. This role partners with business and tech stakeholders and translates business needs into actionable product requirements and manages the lifecycle of fleet technology solutions—from strategy through delivery and continuous improvement. This role ensures fleet systems drive efficiency, safety, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for fleet management tools, ensuring they meet the operational, compliance, and scalability needs of a modern automotive fleet business.
- Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for fleet-focused digital tools, including fleet account lifecycle management, fleet CRM, and customer billing portal.
- Partner with fleet operations, maintenance, procurement, and safety teams to translate business processes into clear product requirements and prioritized backlogs.
- Ensure fleet tools support critical workflows such as lead generation, account set up and management, fleet servicing, billable accounts, and cash application.
- Monitor fleet performance metrics and use insights to drive product enhancements.
- Partner with business and tech to build business cases, requirements documentation, and user stories.
- Assist in prioritizing digital solutions that improve customer and employee experiences and produce operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with tech and UX design to develop, select, and implement enhancements that solve moderately complex problems. Conduct business analyses (i.e. modeling, forecasting, statistical methods) to maximize impact.
- Assess technical feasibility, analyze the Return on Investment (ROI), and justify associated investments to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Post-launch, advise on expected behavior and monitoring, performance, scaling/tech debt, availability tuning, and incident resolution. Support backlog grooming and prioritization of product features based on needs and feedback from stakeholders.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in digital product management
- Experience with fleet management and billing systems
- Experience analyzing, leading, and building complex solutions, gathering requirements and specifications for product development, and writing Product Requirement Documents
- Experience launching Product Features and developing the Product Strategy for new and existing products
- Experience calculating the Return on Investment (ROI) for new product ideas
- Experience with system design and service/processes improvement
- Experience executing market research and analysis to evaluate competitor features and industry benchmarking
- Understanding of fleet operations, including maintenance workflows, asset lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with connected vehicle data, EV fleet considerations, and predictive maintenance technologies
- Experience executing multivariate A/B testing to identify solutions
- Experience with data modeling and forecasting using spreadsheets
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
