The Opportunity
Valvoline Inc. has a rewarding opportunity as an Associate Media Manager. In this role, you will help connect with consumers and drive demand for Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations nationwide by supporting the strategy, planning, activation, and performance management of Create Demand media and sponsorship initiatives. You’ll translate business objectives into high-quality media and sponsorship activations with measurable impact, bringing integrated campaigns to life across paid media and sponsorships aligned to key KPIs and growth priorities.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Support end-to-end planning and execution of integrated Create Demand campaigns across channels (e.g., CTV/OTT, social, display, TV, audio, podcast, influencer, radio, OOH), supporting company-owned stores and franchise markets aligned to the company media strategy, ensuring alignment to business goals, target audiences, and KPIs.
- Partner with agency teams and internal stakeholders to develop media plans (audiences, markets, flighting, channel mix, creative, measurement) and drive execution from briefing through launch, optimization, and wrap—coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment across messaging, placements, trafficking, tagging, and QA readiness.
- Support the identification, evaluation, and development of sponsorship opportunities aligned to brand strategy, target audiences, and priority markets, assessing fit across reach, rights, activation potential, cost, and measurement feasibility to inform recommendations.
- Support execution of integrated sponsorship activations end-to-end, including media extensions, content, on-site experiences, and local market amplification; coordinate deliverables across internal teams and agency partners while managing timelines, ensuring brand standards and QA, and tracking contractual obligations in partnership with Legal, Procurement, and agencies.
- Monitor campaign, sponsorship, and partner performance across key metrics, identifying risks and opportunities and supporting optimization through data-driven insights and test-and-learn approaches; compile and validate reporting and scorecards, and contribute to post-campaign recaps with clear, actionable learnings.
- Maintain campaign trackers, timelines, and documentation to ensure visibility, organization, and strong planning hygiene across stakeholders.
- Support agency and partner management through clear briefs, deliverable tracking, and ongoing communication to ensure work is delivered on time and to standard.
- Assist with budget stewardship, including PO tracking, invoicing coordination, and spend reconciliation in partnership with Finance.
- Provide occasional ad hoc cross-functional support within the broader Performance Marketing team as needed, contributing to Capture Demand channels (e.g., affiliate partnerships, direct mail) in support of broader team priorities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes, tools, and ways of working to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
