We are open to remote candidates who can work onsite in Lexington, KY at least 3 days a week.

The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Sr. Project and Change Manager. In this role, you will drive complex, strategic, cross-functional projects, and lead change initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management skills, change management expertise, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale initiatives in fast-paced environments.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Project Management

    • Lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of complex, strategic projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, identifying key milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.

    • Utilize project management methodologies and tools to effectively manage project scope, risks, and dependencies.

    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive project progress and resolve issues promptly.

    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.

  • Change Management

    • Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the successful adoption of organizational changes resulting from projects and initiatives.

    • Conduct impact assessments to understand the implications of proposed changes on stakeholders, processes, and systems.

    • Work with cross-functional partners to design communication and training plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and equipped to navigate change effectively.

    • Identify and address resistance to change through targeted interventions and stakeholder engagement.

    • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of change management activities, iterating as necessary to drive desired outcomes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments, including but not limited to, operations, marketing, finance, and IT.

    • Foster a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and cross-functional teams work together seamlessly to achieve common goals.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on project prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • PMP, Prosci, or other relevant certifications in project management and change management
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project management, with a focus on delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in the retail industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management principles, methodologies, and tools preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in complex situations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven leadership abilities, including experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
