The Opportunity
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity for a Senior IT Auditor. In this role, you will lead the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of technical and process audit projects and compliance testing. You will have the responsibility of identifying and evaluating IT, cybersecurity, and digital risks and controls. Together with the audit staff you will manage, you will evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of Valvoline’s internal control environment and communicate issues to management while making appropriate recommendations for improvement. Every day, you will make a difference by enhancing our security through detailed audit testing and following up on action plans from published audit reports.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Prepare the assessments and reports as related to role as Senior IT Auditor.
- Work with client management to develop practical action plans that are appropriately designed to be successful cost-effective solutions.
- Evaluate planning, fieldwork, and testing results to verify if appropriate conclusions are reached about adequacy of IT controls and systems/processes.
- Lead the preparation, coordination, and completion of tests of design for IT General Controls (ITGCs_ and automated controls that support relevant business processes, in particular related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and privacy compliance requirements.
- Partner with management and external auditors in the coordination of testing and associated conclusions/results.
- Provide technical assessments of risk and control insights for critical applications during new system/process implementations.
- Monitor audit client follow-up activities.
- Provide technical support to the Internal Audit Department for enabling systems/applications/tools.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Decision Science and Information Systems, Accounting/Management Information Systems, or comparable major required. Post-graduate degree is a plus.
- Minimum of four years in internal or external auditing
- At least one relevant professional certification (CIA, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, etc.) or commitment to attain one
- Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act controls evaluation and testing capabilities
- Experience with SAP or comparable systems
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to build trust with business partners and clients
- Practical experience with data analytics and related tools (SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, etc) preferred
- Experience working and partnering with external auditors preferred
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
