The Opportunity
At Valvoline Instant Oil Change, all roads lead to opportunity. We believe great journeys begin with great people. That’s why we’re looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who is passionate about supporting people, building strong cultures, and helping leaders thrive.
The Senior HRBP serves as a trusted and strategic advisor and leader to our retail operations team, supporting our mission to create an exceptional workplace where team members are empowered to grow, stay, and succeed. Reporting to the Senior Director, HRBP, they partner closely with COEs to develop strategic alignment and guidance on core People functions (e.g., Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, L&OD, Total Rewards, and Communications).
This is a remote role with occasional travel; candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone are preferred to support team alignment, though all qualified applicants will be considered.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Partner with leaders on organizational design, performance management, team development, and change management strategies.
- Collaborate with HR partners in Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and Learning & Development to deliver seamless support across the employee lifecycle.
- Lead key HR processes across your region, including performance reviews, compensation planning, engagement surveys, and succession planning.
- Develop and retain talent by identifying high-potential team members and supporting development plans that align with career aspirations.
- Coordinate and implement various HR initiatives, such as process and policy implementation from infancy to implementation.
- Use data and insights to guide workforce planning, improve retention, and proactively address talent trends.
- Champion Valvoline’s values and culture, helping to create inclusive, purpose-driven workplaces where everyone feels they belong.
- Represent the field in cross-functional HR initiatives, sharing insights and driving the adoption of enterprise programs and tools.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a field-based or multi-unit environment
- Ability to build strong relationships, influence decisions, and navigate ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, make informed decisions, and solve problems that impact both employees and the organization
- Strong communication and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
- A well-rounded HR skillset, including experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and learning
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
What Will Set You Apart
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) or a Master’s degree
