The Opportunity
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a NOC Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our network systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the availability and reliability of our network services by monitoring network performance and respond to alerts and incidents. The NOC aims to ensure uninterrupted network performance, quick incident response, timely issue resolution, and efficient resource utilization while enhancing overall system reliability and security. The NOC members play a critical role in maintaining a stable and secure network environment for an organization. Their responsibilities may vary depending on the size and complexity of the network and the specific needs of the company
How You'll Make a Difference
Have technical knowledge of (Fortinet) firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and how they are used in a retail store environment.
Coordinate with vendors for equipment procurement, maintenance, and support.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and equipment.
Troubleshoot network issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and incident management systems.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of four years of technical support
Minimum of four years of customer service and advanced technical support in a call center environment
Must be customer focused and have a sense of urgency
Excellent computer and written/verbal communications skills
Hardware, Software and/or Network troubleshooting abilities
Strong planning, analysis, and formal presentation skills. Able to apply tools, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong business and financial acumen
Must be able to deal effectively with all types of internal/external customers
Working knowledge of POS and business systems and interface relationships for Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) Corporate and the VIOC Franchise user community
