Henley Enterprises, Inc. (and our associated entities) is a privately-owned Franchisee of Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) currently operating over 230 VIOC locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida and California. The Company has grown rapidly and is projecting continued growth moving forward. This position works from the Newton, MA Corporate Office and reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

POSITION SUMMARY:

In support of the company’s continued growth, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation of marketing and recruiting programs as well as field marketing support in the New England market and the supervision of the Marketing Administrator. The position works in conjunction with operations, human resources, training, legal, accounting and development. The position relies on extensive relationship-building with the operations, HR, training, legal, accounting and development groups to ensure optimum execution of both administrative initiatives and marketing and recruiting programs. In addition, the Marketing Supervisor manages budgets, external agencies and acts as a key liaison with the franchisor.

Marketing Duties

  • Work with operations on promoting our services to the targeted consumer and commercial base to drive oil changes and revenue
  • Work with operations on merchandising and in-store programs
  • Manage the recruitment process including: multiple external agencies and partners, online activity and resume flow
  • Develop creative, purchases media and executes advertising campaigns
  • Manage the development and implementation of recruitment campaigns
  • Act as a department liaison with both internal and external customers
  • Implement local and national store programs
  • Provide support to the fleet department
  • Provide ROI on marketing campaigns
  • Develop and implement charitable programs

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain budgets and approve spending
  • Approve vendor bills and reconcile with accounting
  • Review contracts and negotiate with various vendors

Digital Duties

  • Supervise the Marketing Sales Administrator, providing coaching, feedback and developmental opportunities
  • Maintain and update social media accounts
  • Optimize SEM and SEO functions for both consumers and recruitment
  • Negotiate, develop and implement display and pre-roll content
  • Consolidate, monitor and report on review sites
  • Monitor posting and activities on Valvoline Instant Oil Change and Henley on social media

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Competencies

  • Highly organized; ability to multi-task and manage workflow with focus on priorities and deadlines
  • Understanding and continued development of the digital field
  • Strong accuracy and detail orientation
  • Database management at intermediate level (Microsoft Suite)
  • Interact effectively with internal and external resources, including direct report(s)
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbal and written
  • Reliable and self-sufficient, with strong follow through
  • Analysis and report writing abilities
  • Project Management capabilities

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or a related business field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in both marketing and digital
  • Working knowledge / experience in the service industry

ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 25% of work performed in the field which may include a service center environment and remote locations as determined by a strategic partner
  • 75% of work in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and

fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds

  • A current valid driver’s license and insurability rating is required; occasional travel by vehicle may be required
  • Occasional overnight travel to other regions may be required
