The Opportunity
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Maintenance/HVAC Technician. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs in company-owned oil change facilities in areas of building systems, HVAC, tire rotation lifts, pneumatic pumps, air compressors, portable equipment (transmission flush, coolant, and A/C machines), electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting. Responsibilities include work order retrieval, documentation, and completion via the Computerized Maintenance Management System. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Perform preventive maintenance work according to the assigned schedule and consistent with preventative maintenance work order tasks, company/manufacturer's recommendations, and industry standards.
- Completes break/fix work order assignments within specified service level time frames in compliance with company specifications, manufacturer's recommendations, and industry standards.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC issues, such as system failures and leaks, and ensure that HVAC systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Complete parts inventory, order and organize parts and materials in Maintenance vehicle and warehouse location.
- Assist with and respond to emergency repairs as needed.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- High School graduate or equivalent vocational training
- Must be able to:
- Stand for long periods of time
- Walk or run for long periods of time
- Bend and twist their body
- Repeat the same movements
- Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
- Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
- Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place
- Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs
- Minimum of five years of related work experience
- Minimum of five years of HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation
- Minimum of five years of with electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
- HVAC Certification (EPA 608 preferred)
- Project management skills
- Strong understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Customer Service oriented
- Use and understanding of CMMS and computer skills (MS Office, Excel, or similar)
- Strong communication skills

- Knowledge and understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
