The Opportunity
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity for a Lead Integration Architect. In this role, you will plan, design, develop, and oversee all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions. You will provide technical expertise and leadership, mentoring and conducting code reviews for a team of developers while managing day-to-day coordination related to driving the delivery of integration services. Valvoline is looking for someone who will set architectural standards and play a key role in defining the overall integration strategy to align with business objectives.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Lead and manage the integration development team, ensuring the team’s effectiveness in supporting objectives and operations. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Support business partners in day-to-day process/system issues
- Support interfaces with other internal or external systems and partners
- After-hours and on-call support for interfaces and batch jobs
- Coordinate with third parties on changes to ensure that system components are fully compliant
- Collaborate with business partners on continuous improvement initiatives to improve process issues or meet new business requirements
- Design, architect, and develop complex integration solutions, including API design, data mapping, and message flow for various systems.
- Develop and maintain the enterprise integration architecture blueprint, including standards, patterns, and best practices for data exchange and system integration.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party service providers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers on integration projects.
- Lead integration teams, overseeing design, development, implementation, testing, and deployment phases.
- Analyze existing solutions and identify opportunities for improvement.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree with course-work in computer science, information management, or a related field
- Minimum of eight years of experience in enterprise integration development
- Minimum of two years of experience with SAP Integration Suite (formerly SAP Cloud Platform Integration)
- Minimum of two years of experience as a lead integration architect
- SAP S4/HANA, SAP Retail Industry, SAP API Management experience
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architectural principles and experience designing resilient integration flows
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to integration development (Groovy and Javascript minimum)
- Excellent Leadership, Management, and third-party relationship-building skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Project management skills (multitasking, prioritization, etc.)
- SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP Integration Suite is preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
