What you’ll do 

The HR Generalist will support the daily operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes across various functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, Team Member relations, performance management, and compliance. This role requires a people-focused professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in both interpersonal and administrative tasks.


  • Oversee onboarding processes for new Team Members, ensuring a positive start with all necessary paperwork, orientation, and training.
  • Act as a first point of contact for Team Members’ HR-related inquiries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Support Team Member relations by helping resolve workplace conflicts, conducting investigations, and facilitating positive communication within teams.
  • Administer Team Member benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, ACA eligibility, and termination.
  • Address Team Member questions about benefits and liaise with vendors to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.
  • Maintain and update Team Member records, handbooks, and HR policies to reflect regulatory changes.
  • Support performance review processes, assisting managers with tools and guidelines for evaluations.
  • Support field leaders with Learning and Development initiatives and ensure training is completed.
  • Maintain HRIS database with current Team Member information, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare regular reports on HR metrics, such as turnover rates and engagement levels.
  • Attend and participate in Team Member disciplinary meetings including terminations.
  • Support Worker’s Compensation claims and handling issues related to Worker’s Compensation including reporting, claim management, and assessing work limitations.
  • Administer and track leave of absence (LOA). 


What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Knowledge of HR functions (recruitment, benefits, Employee Relations, etc.) and familiarity with labor laws.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite. Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Experience in retail industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ADP HCM software is preferred.
