The successful candidate will be a focused, ambitious person who has had previous success as a leader. We will consider candidates with or without professional automotive experience, but having a passion for cars is important. We have an outstanding training program.
To succeed in this position, a person must hold subordinates accountable, and must be perfectly comfortable doing so. You must be comfortable telling others what to do, and correcting them if they do it incorrectly. You must view yourself as a member of management and not just "one of the guys (or gals)."
You must have an outgoing personality and enjoy serving customers. You must have self-confidence, but also the humility to accept guidance and make corrections when asked.
You must be enthusiastic about learning the Valvoline Instant Oil Change way of doing things. You must want to grow the business and to constantly improve yourself and the team that you are leading.
This is a full-time position. The typical number of hours worked per week is 45-50. Must be available to work Saturdays, plus occasional Sundays.
Starting compensation will depend on a candidate's experience and apparent aptitude for the role. Compensation will increase as the manager demonstrates success in the role. Must have a valid driver's license, and must submit to a drug test and criminal background check.
